Conference & Community
13th– 16th of November, Europe’s largest conference on Microsoft technologies is being held at The Convention Centre in Dublin. The conference gathers SharePoint, Office 365 and Azure speakers, experts and companies from all of Europe, to present the newest solutions, technologies and updates for SharePoint.
“The conference gives us an exciting opportunity to spread the word of WorkPoint. We are able to present business-critical SharePoint solutions for project -, document -, case – and contact management to a very relevant audience of potential partners and customers” says Andy Karamallakis, Export Sales Account Manager, WorkPoint.
Last year, WorkPoint attended the conference at the Austria Center in Vienna, which immensely helped us expand our business network. Andy Karamallakis adds, that the objective is once again to use the conference-platform to present our solutions to a unique and professional community.
“We will try to repeat the formula from last year, where we received lots of positive feedback and developed many new important connections. Overall, the ESPC generates a lot of interesting business leads and opportunities, that we can use for promoting the WorkPoint message to a community of professional SharePoint users”
Conference partnership with Version 1
WorkPoint are happy to announce that we will be joining forces with our UK Gold Partner, Version 1, at the ESPC 17. With more than 900 employees, Version 1 has developed a strong position in the UK market, and has over the last couple of years been recognized as one of the fastest growing IT-companies in Western Europe. Version 1 specializes in delivering managed IT-services that helps transform businesses to perform better strategic results.
A partnership between WorkPoint and Version 1 is an ideal solution, and according to the UK Advisory Services Consultant in Version 1, David Gardiner, it is much due to the increasing demand for easier “out-of-the-box” systems.
“The key feature of WorkPoint is simplicity. The solution can easily be integrated within SharePoint and aligns perfectly to our clients’ organizational challenges. Customers prefer systems to be delivered as out-of-the box, that can instantly be integrated to improve their business operations”
He also says, that the conference presents a great way to promote Version 1 and the partnership with WorkPoint.
“Since our HQ is based in Dublin, this year’s conference is very special. We are growing our teams and strength across the UK and Ireland, and the conference gives us an excellent stage to present Version 1’s range of business and IT solution services. In collaboration with WorkPoint, we are providing an effective solution which forms the foundation of digital transformation”.
Focus on the GDPR
One of the key focus areas on this year’s conference is the GDPR. The GDPR will apply from 25th of May 2018, and by then, all organizations must manage personal information according to the requirements.
Many organizations have difficulties in assessing the scale of the GDPR, but the definition is very broad and affects many different departments such as HR and Sales. An important step is to systemize the processes for personal information, to assist and support GDPR compliance. CEO of WorkPoint, Peter Jørgensen, says:
“It is more important than ever, to have systemized processes. With the upcoming GDPR, companies need to analyze the flow of information, to secure proper management of personal data. WorkPoint can assist with mapping documents and files, which provides companies with support and structure for GDPR compliance”
WorkPoint has introduced a 3-step GDPR-plan, which includes workshop sessions, dataflow mapping and system analysis.
The aim is not to explain the legal definition and impact of the GDPR, but to show how processes can be supported and optimized for the GDPR with WorkPoint.
